Historique :	Le château de Fontaine-Henry est une construction d’origine médiévale, totalement remaniée à partir du 15e siècle. Les façades du logis central illustrent la transition entre le gothique flamboyant et la Renaissance. Le château abrite une collection exceptionnelle d’oeuvres d’art et de mobilier accumulé par la même famille. Ce tableau représentant l’Education de l’Amour est une copie qui pourrait avoir été réalisé par Rubens dans les années 1600. L’original de Corrège est une oeuvre assez rare , réalisée pour Frédéric II de Gonzague duc de Mantoue. L’histoire de la provenance du tableau nous renseigne sur la production du jeune Rubens lors de son passage en Italie et de la transmission d’une oeuvre sur plusieurs générations au sein de la même famille à partir du 18e siècle.
