Historique :	Cette statue peut s'apparenter de la représentation de la Vierge à l'Enfant par Jean Fouquet, sur le diptyque de Melun, vers 1450, tant la Vierge ici, drapée en ses nobles atours et figurée dans sa maternité épanouie, s'apparente à l'Agnès Sorel du peintre français. Le sein est ici dévoilé ostensiblement, à la différence des précédentes représentations du thème, où la Vierge entrouvrait à peine sa robe pour symboliser l'allaitement.

Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre lacunaire.
Précision_sur la representation :	La Vierge est représentée debout, de face, vêtue d'une robe aux orfrois richement sculptés. Cette robe est recouverte par un manteau, long, dont les plis viennent napper généreusement le socle, et sont organisés par le pan qui revient sur le devant pour être accroché sous le bras gauche de la Vierge. Elle tient allongé sur son bras droit l'Enfant Jésus, à qui elle présente son sein qu'elle soutient de sa main gauche.
