Historique :	Cette fresque a été réalisée par Maurice Rocher dans l'ancienne chapelle du Secours Catholique, à son retour de captivité. Le visage gris et douloureux des apôtres fait écho au drame que venait de traverser le peintre et la ville de Caen. La lumière qui entre par les deux fenêtres exprimer cependant l'espérance de pentecôte et de renouveau. Maurice Rocher a également réalisé les vitraux de cette chapelle.
