Historique :	Engerand dit que l'esquisse des Pèlerins d'Emmaüs figura au salon de 1747 ; l'original a été commandé à Restout pour l'abbaye de Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois, peint en 1735, et se trouve aujourd'hui au Musée de Lille ; une autre réplique figure à l'église Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles de Paris ; sur celui de Caen, ne figure pas la couronne de lumière.
