Historique :	François de Pâris, dit le diacre Pâris (1690-1727), fit beaucoup parler de lui en tant que janséniste, mais surtout parce que l'on prétendit que des miracles avaient lieu sur sa tombe au cimetière Saint-Médard, après 1727 ; Henri de Roquette, prieur de Saint-Hymer, chassé de son prieuré par son évêque, se trouvait à Paris en 1731, lors de ces événements ; l'abbé de Grieu est celui qu'Henri de Roquette désigna expressément comme son successeur en 1789 ; il fût donc le dernier prieur de Saint-Hyimer ; Jean du Vergier de Hauranne, dit saint Cyran, est un des plus célèbres jansénistes (1581 1643), respecté par Henri de roquette ; Jacques Marie de Caritat de Condorcet fût évêque de Lisieux de 1761 à 1783
