Historique :	L'abbatiale de Mondaye fut entièrement reconstruite entre 1706 et 1727 ; les peintures du dôme ont été copiées sur des gravures de Gérard Audran d'après les peintures de la chapelle du château de Sceaux, aujourd'hui détruites ; les docteurs sont des copies de ce que fit Mignard au Val de Grâce

Précision sur_l'état :	Restaurées par le peintre bayeusin _Panchet Bellerose au 19e siècle.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le père, porté par des chérubins, fait face au Christ représenté dans l'attitude du baptisé ; des anges font disparaître les instruments de l'ancien culte (chandelier à sept branches, arche d'alliance) ; triomphe des vertus évangéliques : la charité est un ange aux ailes déployées et couronné de flammes ; sur les pendentifs, grands Docteurs de l'Eglise : saint Augustin, saint Jérôme, saint Amboise, saint Grégoire.
